Jaw Prison in Bahrain transfers 15 prisoners of conscience to an unknown destination

Tension prevailed in Jaw Central Prison, after its administration moved a number of political detainees to the investigation building as part of the systematic policy of restriction and terrorism.

Human rights sources reported that the Jaw Prison administration transferred 15 political detainees during the past few days to an unknown destination in mysterious circumstances.

The sources added that, according to information received from their colleagues, a group of civilians who identified themselves as investigators arbitrarily kidnapped the prisoners on August 9, in the form of batches.

They added that the group stormed Building 5 and each time transferred a group of prisoners.
The first group consisted of 7 prisoners, then on August 10, 5 more prisoners transferred, and later, 3 other prisoners were transferred, and there is no news of them.

For their part, they demanded the families of the detainees to reveal their whereabouts and to ensure that they are not subjected to torture or abuse from prison officials.
