The Saudi News Agency said that the Kingdom recorded during the past 24 hours 1686 new Covid-19 infections, with 4460 recoveries, mentioning that the holy sites did not record any new case.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing an exceptional Hajj pilgrimage this year providing huge capabilities to ensure the success of the pilgrimage in the best health conditions while combating Covid-19.
For a safe and healthy pilgrimage that ensures the safety of the worshippers, the Saudi government has adopted the highest health standards and protocols.
Meanwhile, the Hajj Security Forces Command announced the arrest of 2050 violators of the entry instructions into the holy sites, and regular measures were taken against them, according to the Saudi Press Agency, SPA.
The agency quoted a spokesman for the Command saying that this comes within the framework of “the royal decree approving the provisions and penalties for violators of precautionary and preventive measures taken to combat the virus.”
It pointed out that the arrests came within the “previously announced instructions to ensure compliance with precautionary and preventive measures related to the Hajj season this year.”
