Shias worldwide commemorate martyrdom anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Baqir, peace be upon him

Shias around the world are commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Baqir, peace be upon him.

Mourning ceremonies are being held in Husseiniyahs, Islamic centers and houses of Ahlulbayt followers, peace be upon them, where the blessed biography of the Imam and the sorrowful tragedy of his martyrdom are remembered.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir, peace be upon him, was poisoned by Hisha`m b. al-Hakam and is buried in Jannat al-Baqi Cemetery.
