Large crowds flock to al-Hur district in Holy Karbala to mark al-Hur pilgrimage

Al-Hur district of the holy city of Karbala witnessed the gathering of thousands of people to mark the pilgrimage of the last Wednesday of Safar.

 

 

Al-Hur district of the holy city of Karbala witnessed the gathering of thousands of people to mark the pilgrimage of the last Wednesday of Safar.

The people of Karbala, particularly women, come long way on feet to perform the pilgrimage rituals at al-Hur holy shrine on the last Wednesday of Safar.  

The Husseini services units spread on the way of the pilgrims to provide foods and beverages, as well as resting areas to al-Hur, peace be upon him.

The pilgrimage began with the idea that all the companions of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, were buried at the same place except al-Hur who was buried 6 kilometers away.
