Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announces its special plan for the Arbaeen Pilgrimage with the participation of 7000 volunteers
Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced that it has developed a special security and organizational plan for the Arbaeen Pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), with the participation of 7000 volunteers.
The head of the Security Department at the Holy Shrine, Rasoul Abbas Fidhala, said in a statement, “The Security Department has completed its preparations for the Arbaeen Pilgrimage this year by developing an integrated plan in cooperation with all concerned departments.”
Fidhala indicated that the plan came in coordination with the plan of the Karbala Operations Command and the General Directorate of Civil Defense, as more detachments were deployed in the vicinity of the holy shrine and the streets leading to it.
Fidhala indicated that more than 7,000 volunteers were recruited to participate in the Arbaeen Pilgrimage plan, explaining that the preparations for this year are different from the rest of the previous years.
He added, that more than 1,800 surveillance cameras were deployed to monitor the movement of pilgrims inside the old city, the vicinity of the holy shrine, and the streets leading to the Holy Shrine of Abu Abdullah al-Hussein, peace be upon him.
