Misbah al-Hussein Foundation provides food baskets for underprivileged families and orphans in Niger

The Misbah al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development, which operates under the auspices of the Office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi in the holy Karbala, has announced sending aid to the underprivileged families and orphans in Niger.
The Foundation said in a statement received by Shia Waves, “Throughout the days of the great month of Ramadan and the blessed Eid al-Fitr, the Foundation has distributed food baskets to the underprivileged families and orphans in Iraq and the Arab and Islamic countries, within its great humanitarian project of distributing 6000 food baskets.”
It added that “the oppressed and poor families in the capital Niamey had a share of the blessings of this charitable project, which was launched with the commandments and affirmations of the Shirazi Religious Authority, who calls for extending a helping hand to the poor and underprivileged during the days of the holy month.”
It explained that “the presented baskets include basic and essential foodstuffs for those who are deprived and are unable to secure a livelihood.”
On the other hand, the families who benefited from the humanitarian initiative expressed their happiness for the Grand Ayatollah’s attention to it in light of the difficult living conditions, and appreciated the efforts of those in charge of the foundation.
