Imam Hussein Holy Shrine covered in black in commemoration of Imam al-Sadiq’s martyrdom

The holy shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, has been covered with black banners in commemoration of the sorrowful martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq, peace be upon him.

Pilgrims in the holy shrine extended their heartfelt condolences over this sad occasion to the Imam of the Time, Imam al-Mahdi, may Allah Almighty hasten his honourable reappearance, emphasizing their commitment to revive the ten-day period dedicated to the martyrdom of Imam al-Sadiq.

Shias and Muslims around the world are preparing to commemorate Imam al-Sadiq’s martyrdom which falls on the 25th of the current month of Shawwal. Mourning ceremonies and religious lectures will be delivered to highlight the immaculate biography of the Imam and his selfless sacrifices and knowledge.

The Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi, has earlier called on Muslims and the entire world to spread the moral teachings and knowledge of Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, describing his legacy as a culture of security and peace for all humanity.
