Start of commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful
The mourning and service processions in the holy cities of Karbala and Najaf as well as other Shia cities are commemorating the nineteenth day of the great month of Ramadan, which marks the attack on the Commander of the Faithful, Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, in his mihrab.
The processions will begin this evening to commemorate the painful memory at his holy shrine in Najaf, in addition to the other holy shrines in Karbala and Baghdad
The lovers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, expressed their great sorrow and offer their condolences on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, reiterating their loyalty to follow his example and go on his path of righteousness.
Mourners and Ahlulbayt lovers also offered their deepest condolences to the Savior of Humanity, Imam Mahdi, may Allah hasten his blessed reappearance, on the martyrdom anniversary of his grandfather.
In separate statements to Shia Waves, the mourners expressed their great sadness for the tragedy that befell the Imam, peace be upon him, during the fajr prayer, after which he said, “By the Lord of the Kaaba, I have succeeded.”
