Kadhimiya Holy Shrine dressed in black ahead of martyrdom of Imam Al-Jawad

The courtyard and Shrine of KadhimiyaImams (peace be upon them) were covered in black ahead of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jawad (peace be upon him), officials told Shia Waves.

The gates and walls of this sacred Shrine have been decorated with black flags to mourn Imam Muhammad al-Taqi (peace be upon him), the ninth Shia Imam.

Mawakib, or rest stops, are set up in areas leading to the Kadhimayn to welcome mourners from inside and outside Iraq and offer them foods, drinks and places to rest.

Officials of the Holy Shrine of Kadhimiyamentioned that all necessary measures have been taken to receive the anticipated large number of mourning processions.
