Indian police arrested a Hindu youth, and a number of suspects in creating an application containing pictures of more than 80 Muslim women for “auctioning” over the Internet last year, an incident that previously sparked widespread controversy.
Police said that the 25-year-old was arrested days after a similar app appeared, called “Bulli Bai”, which uploaded pictures of more than 100 Muslim women, while the authorities arrested four students who participated in creating another similar application.
