Afghan Shias persecuted in their countries and marginalized in “countries of alienation”

A large proportion of the Afghan refugees, including the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in Indonesia, are experiencing a major crisis in terms of the economic and educational level, and they do not see anything new looming on the horizon of the new 2022 year.
The Indonesian daily newspaper, The Jakarta Post, said, “A large proportion of Afghan refugees in the country still suffer discrimination and marginalization and are in limbo.”
“With no access to education, jobs or a way to contribute to society, Afghan refugees in Indonesia still see only a bleak future ahead in the new year,” the newspaper added in a report followed by Shia Waves.
It explained that “those who came here in search of safety and peace did not find anything of the kind, and they are suffering greatly due to the difficult living situation and the lack of access to job opportunities that extricate them from their miserable reality.”
The deteriorating security and economic conditions in Afghanistan, especially after the Taliban movement came to power, forced thousands of Afghan youth and families, including Shia Muslims who were persecuted over the years, to migrate outside their country, but the majority of them are still living in poverty, discrimination and social marginalization.
