Several Indian cities, including Hyderabad, Agapur, Rampur, Embada and Karbala, witnessed yesterday, Friday, the eighth of the month of Rabi’ Al-Awwal, a mourning march that roamed the streets of cities, in grief and pain for Imam Hassan al-Askari, peace be upon him, on his tragic martyrdom anniversary.
According to what was reported by the Urdu-speaking Indian agency (Amrit Vichar), and translated by Shia Waves, “hundreds of Shia mourners in India participated in commemorating the painful martyrdom anniversary of the eleventh imam of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, Imam Hassan al-Askari, peace be upon him. Condolence marches were organized in the streets of many Indian cities, expressing grief over the oppressed martyr.”
The news agency added that “the local administrations of the cities adopted strict security measures to secure the mourning march,” noting that “the marches were accompanied by the deployment of hundreds of guards and police and the closure of the streets to secure the event.”
