The house of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi commemorates the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Ruqayya, peace be upon her

On Sunday evening, the house of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi in the holy city of Qom, commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Ruqayya, the daughter of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in the presence of a group of scholars, clerics and students of the Islamic seminary.
A lecture on the important aspects of the young girl’s life were recalled.
In this regard and on this great occasion, the Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said that “the great Lady Ruqayya is the daughter of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and many historical books proved that she was in Karbala during the day of Ashura. Her holy shrine is in Damascus, Syria.”
