Shia citizens gathered in Park Avenue, in the suburbs of Manhattan, New York, in a mourning procession in commemoration of the tragedy of Ashura.
Participants in the procession, dressed in black and carried black and green banners, followed the health preventive measures as they marched in the street.
The correspondent of Shia Waves in New York stated that ” Shia mourners went out in mass mourning processions, in commemoration of Ashura.”
He added that “many men and women from different age groups chanted Husseini slogans and participated in the event.”
