Mass demonstrations commemorating the anniversary of the demolition of al-Baqi in Pakistan, Iran and Portugal


Several cities in Pakistan, Iran and Portugal witnessed mass demonstrations, participated by Ahlulbayt followers, commemorating the anniversary of the demolition of al-Baqi and calling for their reconstruction.
According to what was published by media outlets, followed by Shia Waves, several Pakistani cities witnessed the gathering of thousands of Ahlulbayt followers to revive the tragedy of the demolition of the pure graves in Jannat al-Baqi and demanding the Saudi government to reconstruct them.
In the holy city of Qom, Iran, crowds of believers went out to commemorate the painful calamity, holding up banners condemning and denouncing the heinous crime against the pure graves of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.
Media outlets reported that “a number of the Shia community in the Portuguese city of Lady Fatima held a protest stand in front of Our Lady Fatima Church, to demand the reconstruction of al-Baqi.”
The media pointed out that “the protesters called on Muslims all over the world to denounce this crime against their sanctities in in Medina, and affirmed that preserving the heritage and holy religious scenes is the preservation of the Islamic identity.”
