LPG tanker explosion in Pakistan’s Multan claims six lives, injures 38

A liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker explosion in Multan late Sunday night left six people dead and 38 injured, including women and children, according to local authorities.

Multan Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Bukhari told news outlets that the explosion was caused by a fire in the gas-filled tanker. Rescue efforts are ongoing, with 16 firefighting vehicles on site and additional support from various agencies.

Gas and electricity supplies in the area have been suspended as a precaution.
Several homes were destroyed, and around 20 cattle perished in the blast, Rescue 1122 confirmed. The injured have been shifted to Nishtar Hospital for treatment.
