Israeli military forcibly evacuates last operating medical facility in northern Gaza
Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, one of the last operating medical facilities in the area, was forcibly evacuated by the Israeli military, according to medics.
Eid Sabbah, head of nursing at the hospital, stated that at around 07:00 on Friday, the military gave staff 15 minutes to evacuate patients into the courtyard. Israeli troops later entered the facility and began removing the remaining patients.
Dr. Sabbah warned that moving ICU patients requiring ventilators posed significant risks. The evacuation followed reports of Israeli airstrikes near the hospital, killing about 50 people, including five medical staff.
According to reports, Kamal Adwan Hospital has faced intensifying shelling amid a tightening Israeli blockade in northern Gaza since October, with an estimated 10,000 to 15,000 civilians trapped in the region.
Aid organizations, including Oxfam, report ongoing obstructions to delivering humanitarian assistance to the besieged area.
