Iraq cancels visa fees for two age groups traveling to Turkey

The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today that it has reached an agreement with its Turkish counterpart to exempt two age groups from visa requirements for travel to Turkey.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq stated in a press briefing that “the Iraqi and Turkish foreign ministries have agreed to waive the visa requirement for travelers under the age of 15 and over the age of 50.”

The official noted that “the visa fees for travel to Turkey range between $130 and $200, depending on the duration of stay in Turkey.”

This agreement is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and facilitate travel between the two countries, thereby promoting tourism, cultural exchange, and trade between Iraq and Turkey.
