Non-Violence Organization releases message on International Women’s Day

The International Non-Violence Organization (Free Muslim) stated today that women in conflict-affected areas around the world suffer from discrimination, repression, and persecution, emphasizing the need for assistance to face these challenges.

On the International Women’s Day (March 8), the organization mentioned that “celebrating this day is an expression and confirmation of the status, respect, and reverence for women”, stressing the need “to extend a helping hand and assistance to those in need, especially women in conflict zones and conflicts.”

It pointed out that “some societies and countries have contributed to exploiting women and implementing agendas that diminish the status intended for them by the Creator, turning women into mere commodities.”

On this occasion, the organization directed a message to the leaders and rulers of the international community, calling for “the necessity to enact and protect women’s rights and grant them the appropriate status.”

It emphasized “the importance of reducing violations against women, whether in conflict areas or stable regions,” calling for “the release of all female prisoners of conscience and political detainees, in addition to reducing arbitrary practices that violate their dignity.”

The organization also called for “empowering all women to access their legitimate rights, including the right to education, knowledge, participation in political and social affairs, as well as public rights such as health, safety, and an acceptable standard of living.”
