Grand Ayatollah Shirazi discusses Islamic World issues with head of Sheikh al-Mufid Seminary
The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, received Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Hussein al-Amiri, head of the Sheikh al-Mufid Seminary in Holy Karbala and one of his representatives, at his residence in the holy city of Qom.
During the meeting, they engaged in an extensive discussion on various sensitive issues concerning the Islamic world. Grand Ayatollah Shirazi addressed the numerous challenges facing the Muslim Ummah today, emphasizing the crucial role of Shia religious seminaries in guiding the nation toward preserving its identity and values.
The Grand Marja also highlighted the importance of introducing and spreading the teachings of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, globally, as these teachings serve as a primary source of inspiration in confronting the complex situations facing Islamic societies.
The meeting also touched upon the need to strengthen and expand the activities of the religious seminaries, enabling them to confront modern intellectual and cultural challenges, with Grand Ayatollah Shirazi stressing the importance of developing educational and religious programs in the seminaries to ensure they keep pace with the rapid global changes.
