US-based organization holds special programs to introduce lofty culture of al-Thaqalayn
The Massachusetts Foundation for Technology, a US-based organization which organizes special Quran recitation for Shia students, has also begun to provide major programs to introduce the lofty culture of al-Thaqalayn, namely the Holy Quran and the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.
Since 2007, the Foundation has presented a number of programs in Boston, in which it succeeded in spreading the divine teachings of the Holy Quran and Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.
The founders of this organization told Shia Waves Agency that “the establishment and opening of this institution was launched from the simple Quranic events that were held for a number of Shia students every Friday to recite the Holy Quran and contemplate its meanings.”
They continued, “These events gradually developed and turned into major programs that the Foundation holds in cooperation with a large number of religious scholars and Islamic researchers across the US.”
They added that “the programs include holding events, seminars, conferences, and continuous courses in the field of teaching the knowledge of the Holy Quran and the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, throughout the year.”
They pointed out that “the programs held are offered in-person and online, in Arabic, Persian, and English, to include the largest number of Shia communities and native citizens in America.”
They explained that “there are special events held to commemorate the rituals of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, during the months of Muharram and Safar, the months of Ramadan and Sha’ban and the blessed Ghadir event.”
