Madagascar: Shia Muslims launch Arabeen Walk in solidarity with pilgrims heading towards Holy Karbala
The Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in Madagascar launched a march in solidarity with the pilgrims who are now walking towards the holy shrine of the Master of Martyrs, peace be upon him.
According to the director of the office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Majunga Hujjat-ul-Islamwa-al-Muslimeen Sheikh Radhi Wasram, this march of solidarity was organized by the office his Eminence.
Sheikh Wasram added that, “The long distance between the lovers of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and his holy shrine did not prevent them from organizing the Arabeen Walk to recall the tragedy that befell the Imam on Ashura.”
He pointed out that, “Members of the Shirazi-affiliated cultural and religious centers participated in the Arba’een Walk and large crowds of the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.”
He concluded that, “These religious activities are carried out based on the recommendations and instructions of the Supreme Religious Authority Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi to introduce the rituals and principles of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, to the whole world.”
