Special committee held to discuss compiling encyclopedia of intellectual heritage of Imam Al-Sajjad ecial

The head of the preparatory committee of the International Tarateel Sajjadiya Festival organized by Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, Jamal al-Deen Al-Shihristani, said that a special committee of scholars, academics and researchers was held to discuss compiling an encyclopedia of the intellectual heritage of Imam Al-Sajjad, peace be upon him.

Al-Shihristani’s statement came during the opening ceremony of the international festival which was held yesterday Friday inside the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him.

In the statement received by Shia Waves Agency, Al-Shihristani said that, “Imam Hussain Holy Shrine witnessed the launch of the activities of the 9th International Tarateel Sajjadiya Festival, which was held under the slogan ‘The Message of Knowledge and Educating Scholars on Imam Al-Sajjad’s Biography and Heritage’.”

He added that “Large numbers of scholars, academics, researchers, journalists from Arab and Muslim countries and from different faiths and denominations attended the festival.”
