Grand Ayatollah Shirazi emphasizes individual duty of spreading teachings of Holy Quran, Ahlulbay
The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, has stressed that spreading the culture of the Holy Quran, the message of Prophet Muhammad and the teachings of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, is an individual duty for everyone, not just scholars and seminary students.
The Grand Marja’s remarks came on Wednesday morning, the 6th of Sha’ban, during a speech to a delegation of scholars and students from the Najaf Seminary who visited him at his home in the holy city of Qom.
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi highlighted the urgent need to introduce the world to the Quranic teachings and the path of Ahlulbayt, emphasizing their human and moral values that can contribute to security and peace in societies.
The visit was organized by the Najaf Center for Strategic Studies, affiliated with the office of the Supreme Marja in Holy Najaf, as part of a religious outreach trip to Iran aimed at strengthening academic and religious ties.
During the meeting, the delegation listened to a valuable speech from Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, who called for collective efforts to convey the true message of Islam, emphasizing that no one is exempt from this duty, given its profound impact on guiding people and promoting noble values.
