Shia community in Orlando celebrates foundation-stone laying for a Husseini centre, Shia academy

The Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in Orlando, Florida, celebrated the laying of the foundation stone for the new Husseini Center and Shia campus project, which aims to establish the holy rituals and to educate the Shia generation on the teachings of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.

The Islamic Husseini Association in Orlando stated that “the new project includes the construction of a new center for the Shia Muslims in Orlando, in order to establish the holy Husseini rituals, honor the occasions of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and spread their culture and sciences.”

It added that “the project also includes the construction of an academy to accommodate Shia Muslims and others; and to contribute to the field of academic education; in service to the community.”

The association explained that the new project has filled the Shia Muslims in Orlando with joy and happiness as it will make their dreams a reality. The community is committed to making the project a center for religious education and the development of youth.
