Head of World Peace Organization: Media blackout cannot put out light of Holy Arbaeen………………
The founder and head of the World Peace Organization, Dr. Mehdi Alawi, said that his experience of the Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in Holy Karbala has completely changed his life, emphasizing that this massive gathering and the spiritual atmosphere can be the greatest gathering to spread and achieve peace across the world.
Alawi stated in an article published in the “Fair Observer” international media organization, viewed by Shia Waves Agency, that “the experience of the Arbaeen opened my eyes to many possibilities for achieving world peace.”
He added: “I had never encountered such hospitality, love, and generosity in my life. Despite being held in Iraq under the threat of terrorism, I saw pilgrims from all over the world sharing together this beautiful spiritual atmosphere, and I was touched by their display of faith in humanity, which I had never seen anywhere else.”
He added that “the Arbaeen brought together people from all walks of life. It is a true representation of their humanity. Not only were Shias in the pilgrimage, but also Sunnis, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Yazidis. There, we all had the same purpose and we were received with the utmost respect, regardless of religion, culture and race.”
He concluded: “The Holy Arbaeen is the only event that gives humanity hope in the possibility of achieving world peace, and the cause of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, is a message of peace and justice whose light cannot be put out by media blackout.”
