Saudi Hajj Committee: More than 557 thousand pilgrims arrived in Holy Medina

The Saudi Hajj Statistics Committee in Holy Medina has revealed that 557,401 pilgrims arrived, by land and air, in the holy city from various nationalities.

The statistics showed that the total arrivals for yesterday, Wednesday, reached 26158 pilgrims, of which 21927 pilgrims arrived at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina in 91 flights, while the immigration center received 51 flights carrying 1814 pilgrims, and the land center received 86 flights carrying 2757 pilgrims.

The Committee added that the number of pilgrims on their way to the holy sites in Mecca has reached 414,916 pilgrims, while the number of pilgrims remaining in Medina is 142,435 pilgrims of different nationalities. It confirmed that over 48% of the the hotels are currently occupied.
