Hashd al-Shaabi launches operation to ensure security of Arbaeen pilgrims
The Popular Mobilization Forces, Hashd al-Shaabi, have started cleaning the areas around the Diyali River with the aim of preparing this area to welcome the pilgrims of Hosseini Arbaeen, announced a statement from the Hashd al-Shaabi Organization.
According to this report, the operation is carried out with the presence of military engineering forces and bomb detection and disposal units.
This operation is carried out with the aim of ensuring the safety of Hosseini Arbaeen pilgrims and clearing their path from any danger, the statement says, explaining that it specifically includes the inspection and clearing of the “Baba Mahmoud” area near the Diyali River.
In addition to participating in anti-terrorist operations in different regions of the country, the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces continue their efforts to ensure the security of religious ceremonies, especially in the months of Muharram and Safar.
The commander of the central Euphrates operation of the Iraqi Hashd al-Shabi described the security operations of these forces a success in terms of ensuring the security of Ashura rituals, emphasizing that: “The mourning ceremony of Tuwairij was carried out without any incidents.”
The Iraqi Ministry of Interior and the Baghdad Operations Command have also confirmed the success of security implementation plans for the Ashura ceremonies and the first ten days of Muharram.
It should be mentioned that Hashd al-Shabi forces recently announced the seizure of 200 rockets belonging to the extremist Sunni group ISIS in Anbar province as a result of their operations.
