Karbala Government to construct new road to link holy city to other provinces

The government in the Holy City of Karbala has signed a draft for constructing a new road linking Holy Karbala to middle and southern provinces, to facilitate movement of pilgrims on Arbaeen Pilgrimage.

The Deputy of Karbala’s Governor, Jassim Al-Fatlawi, said in a statement, followed by Shia Waves that, “We attended an official meeting in Babylon Governorate, where we signed the draft with the technical consultant of Iraq’s PM and the Governor of Babylon Governorate.”

It should be mentioned that millions of pilgrims, from Iraq and other countries, come to the Holy City of Karbala to perform pilgrimage to Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
