Afghanistan: Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi carries out charitable activities to aid Shia families
The office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi in Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan, has confirmed that its humanitarian campaigns are continuing to aid Shia families in the city to enable them meet their daily needs.
In a statement to Shia Waves Agency on Sunday, the office said that, “These charitable activities are carried to assist disadvantaged families and the families of orphans in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif.”
The office added in its statement that, “Sacrificial meat was delivered to those families and students of the honorable Hawza.”
It concluded that, “These humanitarian campaigns are based on the directives and recommendations of the Supreme Religious Authority Grand Ayatollah Shirazi to help the Shia families in Afghanistan and to support students of religious seminaries as well.”
