Mesbah Al-Hussein Foundation distributes over 100,000 food packages in Iraq
Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation, for Relief and Development, a center affiliated with the Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi (may Allah prolong his life), has been distributing “essential food packages” since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.
The recipients of this charitable donation are needy families and orphans in various cities of Iraq, with each package containing 14 food items. It should be noted that this project, called “Ramadan Plan of 100,000 Food Portions”, is carried out in cooperation with Imam Hussein Charity (IHC) and Imam Hussein Media Group.
Abdul Saheb Al-Keshwan, director of the Foundation, has mentioned that the food packages will contain a competition sheet for children, on which they can make a painting related to Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
Al-Keshwan added that the artworks should then be sent to Imam Hussein Media Group for participation in a special competition with prizes for the best.
A joint visit by the Secretary General of Misbah al-Hussein Foundation, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Mustafa Mohammadi, and the Director of IHC, Mr. Qasim Fahad, was made to the site where the food packages are prepared to ensure the excellence of the project’s implementation process.
It is worth mentioning that, every year, Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation carries out similar projects on different occasions, distributing food packages to disadvantaged families in Iraq and Afghanistan.
