Holy Karbala hosts largest festival on birth anniversary of Lady Zainab (peace be upon her)

The grand celebration hall in the Cultural Palace in the holy city of Karbala held on Tuesday the first annual festival of Aminat Allah, on the anniversary of the birth of Lady Zainab (peace be upon her), in the presence of a crowd of religious and official figures and Karbalaei families.

 Shia Waves correspondent reported that “the annual festival of Aminat Allah was held on the anniversary of the blessed birth of Lady Zainab Al-Hawraa (peace be upon her), with the participation of a number of Husseini reciters and poets.”

 He added that the festival “was organized by the two committees of the al-Tafel al-Radiae and Ya Tharat al-Hussein.”

Our correspondent explained that “the festival included many activities, including the presentation of poems, competitions, gifts and prizes distributed to the attendees, in addition to distributing hundreds of meals.”

He added, “One of the beautiful activities during the festival is honoring young girls whose name is either (Zainab) or (Al-Hawraa),” noting that “the festival, in its first edition, witnessed a large and splendid presence by the Karbala families, as well as religious, political and cultural figures, and it was covered by local media.”
