Translator of Noble Quran into Korean, Lee Myung Won: The Quran reveals the truth
Dr. Lee Myung Won said that he planned to translate the Holy Quran in 1984 when he met the Egyptian professor “Ahmed Abdel Fattah Suleiman” who invited him to Islam and taught him the Quran, Arabic language and rhetoric.
He explained that throughout this period he continued to study the Quran, until he began the translation process only 3 years ago.
The most important thing he thought about during the translation was the truth, as the Holy Quran shows the truth, indicating that he translated from Arabic into Korean directly with the help of eight books on Quran exegesis.
Dr. Lee, whose Arabic name is Ahmed, tells of the difficulties of learning Arabic in the 1980s in Korea. He says that if Koreans read the Holy Quran, they will understand Arabic and Islamic culture.
Dr. Ahmed expresses his gratitude to his wife, who supported him during the translation process, and says that she is the first Korean woman to read that translation.
