Demise anniversary of Grand Ayatollah Mirza Muhammad Taqi Shirazi, leader of the Twentieth Revolution
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life:
In the biography of Sheikh Muhammad Taqi al-Shirazi, may Allah bless his soul, historians mentioned that he was the only person who started the leadership of the Twentieth Revolution and mobilized the Hawzas and the tribes in order to fight Britain’s control over Iraq; when Britain was the largest colony on earth, and the British themselves called it Great Britain.
This Britain was confronted by a learned sheikh, with his knowledge, piety, asceticism, morals, and pragmatism, and he succeeded. On that day, Iraq’s population was nearly five million, as stated in the book (al- Ḥaqāʼiq al-Nāṣiʻah), which is one of the detailed books on the Twentieth Revolution.
