India: Muslim woman killed for resisting her son’s detention in cow slaughter case
Muslims in India are suffering from a continuous series of violations by the authorities and extremist Hindu groups.
Indian police have killed 53-year-old Muslim woman, Roshni, for resisting her son’s detention in a cow slaughter case on Saturday, in the northern city of Uttar Pradesh.
Roshni’s son Atirqur Rehman said to New Indian Express that around 15-20 police officers reached their house on Saturday night and tried to take his brother Abdul Rehman into custody without giving any reason. When Roshni resisted the police, one of the cops opened fire in which she sustained a bullet injury due to which she died on the spot.
Circle Officer (CO), Sadar, Pradeep Kumar Yadav said the police had gone to Islamnagar village on Saturday night to conduct a raid in a case related to alleged cow slaughter.
