UN report on the victims of the Russian war on Ukraine in 22 days

The United Nations Human Rights Office announced the death toll of civilian casualties in Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24 until March 18.
As of March 18, at least 847 civilians were killed and 1,399 wounded in Ukraine, the office said in a statement.
It added, “Most of the casualties were caused by the use of explosive weapons such as heavy artillery shells and multiple rocket launch systems, in addition to air strikes and missiles.”
The office, which sent a large mission of observers to Ukraine, added that “it is believed that the real number of victims is greater in light of the inability of the office to verify reports of victims from several cities that were severely affected by the bombing.”
