The United States, Britain and France are involved in war crimes in Yemen by providing weapons, intelligence and logistical support to the Saudi-led “aggressive coalition” and killing civilians as a result of military tactics, the United Nations said in a report.

“Investigators compiled a secret list of international war crimes suspects based on abuses during the four-year conflict between the Saudi coalition and the Houthi movement that controls the Yemeni capital,” the report said.

Investigators have discovered the role Western countries play as key supporters of the Saudi coalition, the report said, accusing the Saudi-UAE aggressive coalition of killing civilians as a result of air strikes, depriving citizens of food, using child soldiers and blockade-like war.

The report said that the Saudi coalition has used famine as a means of warfare, acts that could amount to war crimes, while the legality of arms transfers by France, Britain, America and other countries is still in question, the subject of various procedures of local courts.

UN investigators have received reports that the UAE and related forces have tortured, raped and murdered political opponents held in secret UAE institutions, while Saudi Arabia exploits Yemeni children for recruitment, fighting on its behalf and working as mercenaries.
