Mauritanian delegation visits Imam Ali Holy Shrine for the first time
A Mauritanian delegation of Muslim preachers expressed their deep pride for their presence in the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in their first visit.
The Holy Shrine’s Public Relations Department received the delegation and gave them a tour of the historical monuments found around the holy courtyard.
The clerical delegation was presided by the director of the Dar al-Mawda Institute for Education in Mauritania, Sheikh Salman Ahmed Mokhtar, who said in a statement, “The spiritual atmosphere here cannot be described. We live far away in West Africa, and we hear and read about the heroism, guidance and sermons of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, wishing for an opportunity in our lives to visit him.”
He continued, “We would like our visit to be fruitful and we hope for further collaboration with the Holy Shrine, especially since many students of Islamic sciences wish to visit the holy shrines in Iraq.”
The delegation appreciated the warm reception and generous hospitality of the Holy Shrine.
