Iraqi PM forms high committee to secure Arbaeen Pilgrimage

The security forces in the provinces entered a state of alert in preparation for Arbaeen Pilgrimage, while the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa al-Kadhimi, ordered the formation of a high committee to secure the pilgrimage.
“The security forces have completed all their preparations Arbaeen, as the Karbala Operations Command have been supported with sectors of the army, the federal police, the emergency regiment, and the Al-Abbas Combat Division alongside the security forces,” said the spokesman for the Command, Major General Tahseen Al-Khafaji.
He added, “The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa al-Kadhimi, ordered the formation of a high committee headed by Minister of Interior Othman al-Ghanimi, and the membership of each of the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations and the undersecretaries of service ministries, to ensure the success of the pilgrimage.”
