UN concerned by water shortage for 1.8 million in Syria’s Aleppo
The United Nations is gravely concerned that an estimated 1.8 million people in Syria’s Aleppo city and its surroundings have been cut off from their main source of water, said UN Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric on Monday.

Dujarric told a daily briefing that the UN continues to respond to the water crisis by supplying UN continues to respond to the water crisis, and is supporting emergency water trucking, reaching nearly 1 million people in need of water assistance.
The UN is also working closely with its partners, including the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, to deliver life necessities to rural Homs.
