Kuwait Holds Fatimid Mourning Gatherings at Ayatollah Sayyid Ahmed al-Shirazi’s Residence

Fatimid mourning gatherings began at the residence of Ayatollah Sayyid Ahmed al-Shirazi in Kuwait, commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) according to the second narration. The gatherings commenced on the eve of 12 Jumada al-Awwal 1448 AH, as part of the Fatimid Days observances.

The ceremony was attended by religious scholars, believers and devotees of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). The programme featured elegies and mourning poetry recalling Lady Fatima’s suffering, her esteemed position in Islam and her close relationship with Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).

The gatherings form part of ongoing efforts to preserve Fatimid mourning traditions, commemorate the life and legacy of Lady Fatima al-Zahra, and strengthen the community’s connection with the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
