A sharp rise in temperatures across Europe, Asia, and the Americas has raised alarm among health systems worldwide, as experts warn of the growing danger posed by extreme heat.

Severe climate change is not only worsening wildfires and air pollution, but also directly threatening people’s lives.

According to Al Arabiya, health experts warn that when the body’s core temperature rises above 40.6 degrees Celsius, it can lead to heatstroke, permanent organ damage, or death.

The report noted that heat is responsible for around half a million deaths globally each year. Infants, the elderly, outdoor workers, and people with heart conditions are among the groups most at risk from this medical emergency.
