Husseini Mourning Gathering Held on Saudi Arabia’s Tarout Island

Shia Muslims and devotees of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in Saudi Arabia began commemorating the mourning rituals of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, as the second night of Muharram arrived.

According to the Saudi Arabia-based Telegram channel Rawi, a Husseini mourning gathering was held with strong participation from Shia residents of the region at the Abdul Rahim Hussainiya on Tarout Island, part of Qatif Governorate in the Eastern Province.

During the spiritual gathering, Sheikh Ali al-Baqal, a prominent Saudi cleric, delivered a religious lecture and recited elegies and mourning verses in memory of the martyrs of Karbala.
