Centres Affiliated with Grand Ayatullah Shirazi Celebrate auspicious occasions of Shaban
Religious, cultural and humanitarian activities were held widely at institutions affiliated with the office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi across several countries to mark the Islamic month of Sha’ban.
As celebrations for the Sha’ban anniversaries took place, religious and social institutions linked to the office organized a range of programs combining festive ceremonies, cultural events and humanitarian initiatives aimed at promoting the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
In the holy city of Karbala, the office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi hosted worshippers and visitors over several days. The gatherings featured religious poetry and devotional recitations, alongside cultural sessions and guidance meetings with various social groups, including university students, focusing on ethical conduct and adherence to the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
In Baghdad, the Ahl al-Bayt Islamic Thought Center held a large celebration attended by religious figures, writers and community members, with recitations of religious poetry and expressions of communal solidarity.
In Stockholm, Sweden, ceremonies were organized at Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba Hussainiya, including lectures on Islamic teachings and devotional recitations. Similar celebrations and cultural programs were held in Australia at Ale-Yaseen Mosque and Hussainiya and at Bayt al-Hussain Hussainiya.
Alongside the religious events, humanitarian initiatives were carried out. In Basra, a meeting of religious preachers emphasized their role in conveying religious values. Blood donation campaigns titled “Imam al-Hayat” were also held in Lebanon, Kuwait and Basra, highlighting charitable values associated with the Sha’ban commemorations.
It should be mentioned that Ayatullah Syed Ahmad Shirazi, son of Grand Ayatullah Shirazi, visited the blood-donation center in Kuwait and met with the officials and associates of the campaign, giving words of encouragement and praise for this humanitarian campaign in line with the directives of the Supreme Marja.
