Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: Asma-ul-Hosna Belong to God, but Their Manifestations Are the Fourteen Infallibles

The daily scholarly session of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi was held on Saturday, the 6th of Rajab 1447 AH.

As in previous sessions, the senior cleric responded to questions from attendees on various jurisprudential and religious issues.

During the session, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi spoke about the manifestations of Asma al-Husna (the Beautiful Names of God). He referred to a narration in the interpretation of verse 180 of Surah Al-A‘raf, which states that the Asma al-Husna are the names of Almighty God, while their manifestations are the Fourteen Infallibles (peace be upon them).

He explained that the Fourteen Infallibles embody divine attributes such as mercy, wrath, compassion, and all other names and qualities of God. He added that similar descriptions are also found in the Friday Ziyarat.
