Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Offers Condolences by Phone to Son of Late Grand Ayatollah al-Fayyad

Following the passing of Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Ishaq al-Fayyad, may Allah be pleased with him, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, may his shadow endure, held a phone call with the son of the late religious authority, expressing his condolences and sympathy over this painful loss.

During the call, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of the prominent jurist, describing his death as a loss for the religious seminaries and the Shia world. He prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the late scholar His vast mercy, elevate his rank, and bestow patience and reward upon his family.

He also referred to the scholarly and religious services rendered by Grand Ayatollah al-Fayyad, praising his role in teaching, training generations of seminary students, and preserving the jurisprudential foundations of the religious seminaries.

For his part, the son of the late Grand Ayatollah al-Fayyad expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Grand Ayatollah Shirazi for his noble sentiments and condolences, affirming that the phone call brought comfort and consolation to the family and relatives of the deceased.

It is worth noting that the late Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Ishaq al-Fayyad was one of the most prominent maraji‘ of the Najaf seminary. He was born in 1352 AH in Afghanistan and spent many years in Najaf al-Ashraf engaged in scholarship, teaching advanced studies in jurisprudence and principles of jurisprudence, and training large numbers of students.

He was considered one of the most distinguished students of the late Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Abu al-Qasim al-Khoei, may Allah sanctify his soul, and left behind numerous scholarly works in the fields of jurisprudence and principles of jurisprudence.
