The Shia Rights Watch issued its monthly report covering human rights violations against Shia Muslims from November 1 to December 1, 2025, detailing attacks by extremist groups and abuses by state and non-state actors across several countries. The report relies on the organization’s internal monitoring and public human rights sources active in affected regions. It emphasizes that while many violations were verified, others were omitted due to lack of conclusive evidence, underscoring the organization’s stated commitment to non-political, justice-driven documentation.

In Pakistan, the report records three sectarian killings in Karachi. On November 1, food delivery driver Adil Shah was murdered after being lured into an extremist-controlled district. On November 19, another young man, Ali Momin, was killed in a separate attack. A day later, businessman Shabbir Qasim was assassinated near his workplace, marking a continued pattern of targeted sectarian violence.

In Bahrain, the report highlights ongoing restrictions on Shia religious life and a series of arrests. Between November 7 and 28, authorities prevented Shia citizens from performing Friday prayers in al-Duraz for the 57th to 60th consecutive weeks. The month also saw the assault of former detainee Muhammad Al-Sunaiks by security-linked armed groups, a broad arrest campaign following a funeral procession, and the sentencing of former teacher Luluah Al-Binali to six months in prison for allegedly spreading false information after she reported institutional corruption.

Syria witnessed the most extensive number of violations, including bombings, targeted killings, kidnappings, torture, widespread arrests, forced displacement, and attacks on Shia-majority areas. Extremist groups bombed power towers serving Nubl and Zahraa, executed farm workers, and carried out multiple assassinations in Homs and Latakia. The report also documents torture of detainees in Al-Nabk prison, sectarian incitement in Sayyida Zeinab, and violent suppression of peaceful protests in Latakia. Israeli military action in Beit Jann on November 29 left 13 dead and dozens wounded.

In Saudi Arabia, the report notes the arrest of Shia religious preacher Sheikh Abdul Nimr in Dammam without legal justification.

The organization concludes by calling for international pressure to ensure accountability and protection for vulnerable Shia communities worldwide.
