Nationwide Mosque Campaign Launched in West Bengal to Guide Muslims in Voter Registration Ahead of 2026 Elections

Ahead of India’s 2026 legislative elections, mosque committees and senior Muslim scholars in West Bengal have launched a statewide campaign to help Muslim citizens correctly fill out Special Summary Revision (SSR) voter registration forms.
According to Shia Waves Agency, the initiative aims to update the electoral rolls before the upcoming polls amid growing concerns about errors and harassment faced by voters during the verification process.
Imams from around 40,000 mosques, along with field outreach programs, are educating communities on how to accurately complete the forms and remain calm and organized throughout the process.
Organizers say the campaign seeks to ensure that eligible Muslim voters are properly included in the rolls and that their constitutional right to vote is protected ahead of the crucial 2026 elections.
