The global halal economy is now valued at over $7 trillion, reflecting rapid growth across sectors such as food, Islamic finance, tourism, and modest fashion, according to Aylin Sengul, coordinator of the upcoming Halal Expo 2025. She said the 11th edition of the event, to be held in Istanbul from November 26–29 as part of the Global Halal Summit, will focus on “Innovation and Excellence in Halal Trade.”

Sengul noted that Turkey’s sponsorship underscores its commitment to the halal industry, attracting participants from more than 40 countries and over 9,000 international visitors each year. The expo, she added, goes beyond halal food to include sectors such as cosmetics, hygiene, halal tourism, and Islamic finance, offering major commercial opportunities through conferences, B2B meetings, and country business forums.

A key feature of the summit will be the “Ministerial Session,” where 60 ministers from various nations have been invited to sign new trade agreements. The event also includes the “ETHEXPO” exhibition and a Global Sellers Summit focusing on e-commerce innovations. Organized in partnership with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the expo aims to boost global halal trade and expand investment opportunities worldwide.
