The Tebyan Quranic Research Institute hosted an exhibition at Kashmir University featuring over 100 paintings and calligraphic works centered on themes of the Quran, Karbala, spirituality, and devotion, IQNA reported. Inaugurated by Registrar Prof. Naseer Iqbal, the event attracted students, faculty, children, and art lovers to the Gandhi Bhawan hall.
Senior Kashmiri artist Arshid Sauleh, whose works blended Quranic verses with contemporary art, emphasized the inseparable connection between the Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS). Aga Syed Abid Hussaini highlighted the exhibition’s role in linking Karbala’s message with Quranic teachings.
The event showcased works by artists including Tasaduq Hussain and Irfan Hussain, alongside photographic presentations and digital art. Young artist Syed Hyder Abbas’s painting depicting Imam Hussein’s daughter Hazrat Sakeena drew special admiration.
Organizers noted that combining devotion, artistic creativity, and historical memory made “The Art of Devotion, Love & Ashura” a meaningful spiritual and cultural experience at the university.
